Performance Requirements & Eligibility
Who can perform at Ambrit Festival?
If you’re a soloist who is a citizen of the UK or any country within the Americas, you’re eligible. For ensembles, most members should meet that same requirement. We love showcasing talent from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
How big can my group be?
Instrumental ensembles can include between 3 and 12 performers. Vocal ensembles may include between 8 and 30 performers. Soloists and choirs are welcome to bring their own piano accompanist if they’d like.
How long will I perform?
Ensembles and Soloists get a full 60-minute concert slot, including 8–12 minutes of guided introduction. Spotlighters perform for 6 minutes, with 1 minute set aside for a personal introduction. It’s more than a performance—it’s a connection with the audience.
What kind of music should I prepare?
Your program must include works by both British and American composers, with at least one piece by a living composer. This is your chance to celebrate your heritage and spotlight modern innovators.
Financial Info & Ticket Goals
Do I get paid to perform?
Possibly. Once your concert covers its basic costs through ticket sales, you (or your ensemble) receive 50% of additional ticket income for their concert. In other words, we split the success with you.
What are the ticket sale expectations?
Every performer helps make the festival sustainable. Ensembles are asked to sell 25 tickets via their affiliate link. Spotlight performers should sell 5 tickets each. Performers will pay the difference if they sell fewer tickets. These goals can easily be exceeded by passionately sharing Ambrit with their circles of influence.
What expenses should I plan for?
We provide the venue, a piano, and digital promo tools. You’ll be responsible for your own travel, accompanist (if needed), and meeting your ticket income goal. It’s a shared investment and a shared opportunity.
Applying & Getting Selected

We care most about quality, creativity, and heart. Whether you’re emerging or established, we’re excited by compelling programming and a passion to engage audiences.
When will I hear back?
We typically notify selected performers 3 months before the festival. If you’re accepted, we’ll send you a detailed welcome guide with everything you need.
Venue & Tech Details
What instruments are available?
A baby grand piano will be on the floor in front of the stage, on stage right. All other instruments should be brought by the performers.
How many stages are there?
At this time, the Ambrit Festival uses one stage.
Can I use amps or electronics?
Nope—and that’s part of the magic. The festival is 100% acoustic, giving audiences a pure, unplugged experience they’ll never forget. A microphone will be provided for speaking before or between pieces, and for recording purposes only.
Can I rehearse in my assigned space?
At this time we are unable to guarantee rehearsal time in the venue. Each soloist or ensemble may use one private room for warm-up 1 hour prior to their performance time. Private rooms are upstairs with no lift or elevator.
Media, Rights & Recordings
Will my performance be recorded?
Yes. We capture audio, video, and photos so we can share the festival’s story. Select highlights may be made available to performers afterward for personal use—great for your portfolio.
Festival Day & Logistics
What’s the festival schedule like?
There are up to six 60-minute concerts throughout the day, each separated by 30-minute breaks. It’s a rich, continuous flow of music and discovery.
When should I arrive?
Plan to be there at least 90 minutes before your set time. We want you feeling calm, prepared, and ready to shine.
How are performance times chosen?
We thoughtfully curate the day to balance variety and flow—for the audience and for you. We’ll work with you on any known scheduling needs.
Promotion & Marketing
How do I promote my performance?
We’ll give you a personalized affiliate ticket link and plenty of digital assets to make promotion easy. Share through email, social, your website—whatever works for you.
What marketing tools will I get?
You’ll receive promo images, festival logos, and ready-to-use social content. We make it easy for you to share the excitement with your people.
Any tips to hit my ticket goal?
Start early, share with heart, and invite your community into something meaningful. You might be surprised how many neighbors, coworkers, and friends don’t even know you perform. This is your moment to let them in and give them a reason to cheer you on. Some performers even offer a small thank-you or post-concert experience to make it extra special. Connection is the key.
